Lake Lago di Como is located in the north of Italy, near the border with Switzerland. Its area of 146 sq. km. gives him third place in the country. Its depth is over 400 m, which makes it one of the deepest in Europe, and its bottom is 200 m below sea level.
The shape of the water pool has the shape of the letter "Y". The lake is mainly fed by the river Ada, which flows into it. In the three arms there are many small picturesque towns - Como, Lecco, Balaggio, Varena, Menaggio and Canzo. The resort of Cadenabia is located on the western shore of the lake.
The area around Lago Di Como is a popular tourist destination, offering, in addition to beautiful alpine views, opportunities to practice water sports - swimming, diving and windsurfing.
