Каменград

Вишеград, Босна и Херцеговина

Kamengrad, also known as Andrićgrad, is located in Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the second project of the Serbian director Emir Kusturica - an ethno-settlement that presents the Balkans as they would be if every one of the numerous conquerors passing through our lands did not destroy what was built by his predecessors. The complex is a real mixture of architectural styles spread in the Balkans during different historical eras, and consists of attractions, a church, a theater, shops, cafes, restaurants.

In the center of the improvised town is the monument to the writer Ivo Andrić, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature for his novel "Drina Bridge". The action of the work takes place in Visegrad.

Kamengrad is located in the heart of Visegrad and is often used as a setting for various film productions - a famous film festival is held here annually under the patronage of Kusturica.
