The palace "Tsarska Bistrica" is located very close to the Borovets resort in Rila. It was built between 1898 and 1914 and initially served as a hunting lodge for Ferdinand I and Boris III. In 1944 it was nationalized, but today the property has been returned to the royal family. The palace impresses with its original interior and authentic room furnishings. Hunting trophies are hung on the walls throughout the lodge. An attraction is the power plant, built in 1912, equipped with Siemens parts. It still functions today in its original form and supplies the palace with electricity. The park of the estate is extremely beautiful and tidy. The rare plant species, the river and the alleys create a romantic atmosphere.
