Zorats Karer is an archaeological site located near the city of Sisian in Armenia. It is located on a mountain plateau with a height of 1700 m and extends over an area of almost 7 hectares on the left bank of the Dar river canyon.
The ancient monument consists of raised stone blocks arranged in a circle. The complex has been studied for decades, but its exact dating is still unclear.
The ancient metropolis is supposed to be an ancient cemetery, and the circular shape represents the soul's cyclical journey between death and rebirth.
